Councilwoman nancy navarro (MD)

Nancy Navarro represents District 4 on the Montgomery County Council. She chairs the Government Operations and Fiscal Policy (GO) Committee and serves on the Education Committee. Nancy was appointed to the President’s Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics in 2011.

Andy Vargas is the youngest elected Latino councilmember ever in the city of Havervhill, MA.

Commissioner walter deleon (DC)

Walter Deleon made his foray into politics as an intern for a Ward 6 councilmember while in High School. On November 4th, 2014, Deleon was elected as a Commissioner for 5C02 with 92% of the vote and became the youngest elected official in District history. He serves on the DC Latino Caucus Executive Board.

Former State Rep Solomon Ortiz Jr. (TX)

Solomon Ortiz Jr. is a Democratic former member of the Texas House of Representatives, serving from 2006 to 2011. Ortiz is the son of former Congressman  Solomon Ortiz. Ortiz currently is Executive Director for the MAP of Texas, a non-profit founded by him and his father.
